NYX at Target & A Complete Cock Up

Friday, January 10, 2014

Today I wanted to do a quick post about NYX now being sold in Target Australia!! YAY!! I noticed the stand about a week ago in my local Target store and did a complete about-face-double-take and nearly fell over in my surprise LOL.

Anyways I thought I'd taken a photo on my phone to share with you guys but apparently in my rush to swatch ALL TEH MAKEUPZ on the stand, I must have forgotten. Instead I just popped over to the www.target.com.au site to at least show that they have stock and you purchase them online or in store and I noticed an oh so innocent looking hidden in the corner in grey coloured font service message about Target mistakenly sold counterfeit MAC and Bobbi Brown products in their stores between February and August 2012!!! WTF?!

Never saw that one coming! Especially not from a huge international corporation that would surely check the legitimacy of their brand lines prior to distributing them. To add insult to injury, the statement doesn't even make an admission of guilt, only that "Target accepts that it cannot prove that the relevant Bobbi Brown and MAC were not counterfeit..."

Below is a screenshot of the message (and a display of the NYX goodies - of course at double the price they cost in the US because we're in Australia and cosmetics are apparently so hard to get here we have to pay stupid amounts for them >.> ) and it does mention that any Target customers who purchased a counterfeit MAC or Bobbi Brown product can return them for a full refund.

Thoughts lol?

  1. I remember when they were selling MAC, to me they didn't look real so I didn't purchase any. Thank god for that!
