It's been a while since I've done a QHG! This time around we have my holy grail blushes from theBalm.
Now don't get me wrong, there are a million blushes out there that are amazing and have a cult status (I'm looking at you NARS Orgasm) but for a product to reach HG status for me it has to be reliable, perform amazingly and be the item I reach for before all others. In the blush department that's theBalm for me.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Haul - First Impressions & Swatches Part 3 - Lights/Neutrals
Here it is, the last batch! If you haven't already, check out part 1 of my Femme Fatale Haul & Swatch series and part 2 for more swatches and first impressions.
On to the next batch! If you haven't already, check out part 1 of my Femme Fatale Haul & Swatch series for more swatches and first impressions.
In part 2 I've grouped together the cooler toned purples and blues out of my batch of goodies. All these shades have either a blue or sea green or purple base and most have a gorgeous duochrome shift.
A while back I hauled the Aussie indie makeup site Femme Fatal Cosmetics. Then life happened and the ridiculous amount of swatches I needed to do got put on the procrastination pile lol.
But I finally got the time to swatch these babies for you guys and give you my thoughts/first impressions. As this was a haul, I ended up buying 20 mini eyeshadows plus I received 6 samples, so I've broken this into 3 posts to get through them all!
All Day Luminous Weightless
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation - First Impression & Swatches
While in Melbourne with the other half for the F1, I managed to swing by the
Mecca store on Toorak Rd (after an epic day of shopping!) and try one of the items on
my lemmings’ list - the new NARS
All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation.
I've never owned a NARS foundation before so I needed some
help trying to find my colour match. A lovely staff member
at Mecca (gah I can’t remember his name for the life of me!) asked how he could
help and I mentioned I had no idea what my colour match in the new NARS ADLW was
and before I knew it I was sat down, relieved of my ridiculous amount of bags
and handed a cold glass of water – talk ‘bout customer service!
ZOMG! That one word pretty much sums up my love for these two products :) Anastasia Dipbrow Pomande & Metallic Luster Liners.
As you guys may have seen, the last ABH "holy grail" rave product I tried was the famous Brow wiz. If you read the post you probably also know that I wasn't that impressed with the overall product. On the flip side I did manage to trade it to Kat who fell in love with it.
So a few posts ago I did a haul of Aussie "drugstore" brands and stumbled across the surprisingly awesome Australis "Cray for Colour" Eye Shadow Crayons. Well, I couldn't help myself, I went to the Australis site and lo and behold they had a newsletter subscription bonus offer of 25% off your first order.....so of course I bought all the other shades in the range.
As they do every year, Pantone announced their choice for this year's trendsetting colour for all design mediums. This year it's a gorgeous burgundy-winy-red with earthy tones called "Marsala".
If you'd like to learn more about how the colour is chosen and why, you can head over to the article on Pantone's site here.
So I've been trying to figure this post out for a while now - ever since I splurged (yet again) on an RBR sale and picked up the rest of their matte eye shadow line. Essentially I wanted to create a post that showed the variety of ways you can use matte eye shadows and showcase the beauty-bag-work-horses that they are.
I also wanted to share with you guys what I've discovered/fallen in love with over the last year or so since I started using mattes as part of my beauty routine.
Today's post is a review of the Romantic Eye Palette by Too Faced Cosmetics. I lusted after this little beauty for an age before finally caving and picking it up on sale at beautybay.com :) - keep reading for more photos and swatches!
In my search to widen my matte eyeshadow collection, I came across Stila's "in the Know" palette. I already have the "In the Garden" palette which I love so i thought what the hell? It also helps that I managed to pick it up on BeautyBay.com on sale =^_^=
An age ago Kat ordered the Sigma Eye Shadow Bases soon after they were released as they looked like promising, cheaper versions of MAC's Paint Pots. She ever so graciously brought them into work for me to to try and then I forgot about them for a few months. Then last week I remembered them and asked Kat if I could borrow them to review for you guys here on the blog :)
A while ago I picked up the famous Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (from Net-a-Porter) in Medium Ash, here's my thoughts...
I often see drugstore (aka chemist) brand haul videos and blog posts from other beauty bloggers on the interwebz that just make me green with envy at the brands they have access to in such affordable price ranges! (you wanna buy Revlon here, good luck getting it under $10)
