So I've been trying to figure this post out for a while now - ever since I splurged (yet again) on an RBR sale and picked up the rest of their matte eye shadow line. Essentially I wanted to create a post that showed the variety of ways you can use matte eye shadows and showcase the beauty-bag-work-horses that they are.
I also wanted to share with you guys what I've discovered/fallen in love with over the last year or so since I started using mattes as part of my beauty routine.

In my search to widen my matte eyeshadow collection, I came across Stila's "in the Know" palette. I already have the "In the Garden" palette which I love so i thought what the hell? It also helps that I managed to pick it up on BeautyBay.com on sale =^_^=

An age ago Kat ordered the Sigma Eye Shadow Bases soon after they were released as they looked like promising, cheaper versions of MAC's Paint Pots. She ever so graciously brought them into work for me to to try and then I forgot about them for a few months.
