In my search to widen my matte eyeshadow collection, I came across Stila's "in the Know" palette. I already have the "In the Garden" palette which I love so i thought what the hell? It also helps that I managed to pick it up on BeautyBay.com on sale =^_^=
Today's QHG post is a skincare product that has gradually and quite sneakily made its way into my everyday routine and now I can't live without it...... it's the Cleanance Mask by Avene!
An age ago Kat ordered the Sigma Eye Shadow Bases soon after they were released as they looked like promising, cheaper versions of MAC's Paint Pots. She ever so graciously brought them into work for me to to try and then I forgot about them for a few months. Then last week I remembered them and asked Kat if I could borrow them to review for you guys here on the blog :)
A while ago I picked up the famous Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (from Net-a-Porter) in Medium Ash, here's my thoughts...
I often see drugstore (aka chemist) brand haul videos and blog posts from other beauty bloggers on the interwebz that just make me green with envy at the brands they have access to in such affordable price ranges! (you wanna buy Revlon here, good luck getting it under $10)
*UPDATE* - so I FINALLY got through all the posts on my blog and re-uploaded all the images. Let me know if you stumble on a post that has a broken image so I can fix that up too :)
Google+ broke all my image links :( - sorry guys I have to go manually add all the links for ALL THE IMAGES ON MY BLOG >.<
Which now means I have to go add one at a time all my images to my posts and re-do all the properties text on them all
#ragequit
I think this might just be the push I need to switch over to Wordpress.org and force myself to learn how to built a site on their CMS instead of blogger.
Please hang in there guys, I should hopefully have the images all re-uploaded by tomorrow (even if it takes me all night!) starting from the most recent post to the oldest.

So this was a quick look I want to try on my gorgeous bestie Gen - she has these big jade green eyes that I thought would just look awesome with the rust brown/teal duochrome of Insomnia pigment.
It's here!! I first spied this palette back at the beginning of the year in the Backstage photos post on the RBR blog and spent the next few months waiting for it to emerge. As soon as it did, I snapped one up right away! Below are my first impressions / initial review. (p.s its pic heavy)
I recently hauled some goodies from snet which included this super cute Cargo limited edition kit. This particular kit has been out for a while now and is no longer available on the Cargo site but can be picked up at various 3rd party sites/distributors - mine cost $26AUD from strawberrynet.com
I've previously only tried Cargo's liquid foundation but had read great things about their blushes and was keen to try some out! I saw the kit and thought for $26 its a pretty good bargain to try out 4 Cargo products.
On to the kit!
Please note - this is full of sugary deliciousness and not waistline friendly at all LOL but soooo worth it!
While browsing the interwebz the other day I stumbled across the Net-a-Porter Beauty Summer kit. after some further investigating i found the version available for Australia, which while it wasn't completely the same it had enough of the same products that I was interested. AND it was only $50 compared to the $75 for the US kit!! So of course I scooped it up straight away!
Hellooooo!!! Long time no blog!
So my day job has been super hectic lately as I recently got the opportunity to act in a higher position :) which I know shouldn't be an excuseit totally is BUT I've been learning so much and doing so many new, exciting and slightly stressful tasks at work, that by the time I get home I'm pooped.
NO MORE SAY I!!!
Lol, so I've made myself a promise that this week will be dedicated to blogging like a good bloggeress should. I have so many new and lovely acquisitions to share you including some awesome new tech, photography hardware, skin care and beauty which are just sitting there all neglected like begging to be posted.
I've also got the means to finally take the kind of selfies I'm happy with, so not only will there be reviews on the way but some long awaited for looks and even some guest posts and specials!!
So keep your eyes open and watch this space and all that jazz!

For a while I've been meaning to go through all of my Rouge Bunny Rouge products as so many of them are favourites. But until I can get to each one and do an in-depth review post, I thought I might tantalise you with a sampler/preview of what's to come!
It's finally here! Sorry for the delay but my haul was delivered in two parts and the second parcel took just a tad longer to get here.
Ok so this isn't going to be a "normal" product comparison/review between two palettes as I haven't actually purchased either item. In fact I'm turning to you guys for your advice and opinions so I can decide which way to go. Help!
As we head into the cooler months here in the southern hemisphere, gone are the bright, crazy festival eye makeups and the bronzed beach-goddess skin and say hello to sumptuous berry stained lips, clear, translucent perfected skin and flushed, wind-kissed cheeks! (and leg warmers!)
Hey guys thought I'd just put up a quickie HG post today for one of my hair care products I just can't live without :)
It"s the Chroma Riche Reflection Fluid leave in serum by Kerastase!

A solid nude pink is one of my fave nail polishes and probably the one I run out of the most (along side black). So when I was in Target the other day and I stumbled across this lovely shade called English Rose from the new Rimmel series/range "Brit Manicure" I just had to snap it up.
After much prodding by my friend Kat, I finally got around to doing a "my makeup collection" post! Although it turned out more like "my makeup organisation", I hope you guys still find it interesting!
Here are this month's lusatbles!! Honestly I struggled to come up with much after splurging last month on my birthday - scarily I'm a lil shopped out LOL. Anywho a few of these are items I need to restock and others are long time lemmings that I haven't got around to purchasing.
Hey guys! Yes, I too fell down the La Roche Posay rabbit hole after watching Lisa Eldridge's "french pharmacy favourites" skincare post on the interwebz lol.
So my friends and I were chatting the other day about using a 3rd party postal service in order to buy MAC cosmetic products from the US as the MAC US store does not ship to Australia.
Why not just buy from the MAC Australia store you ask? Well because on average you are paying.2-3 x the retail price of the US site - ain't nobody go time for that!

Brand new cruelty free brushes by Sugarpill are now available! So adorable!
Smitten is a shimmery hot magenta loaded with reflective sparks (not the cheesy-looking glitter stuff)! Looks equally bad ass on eyes, lips, and cheeks, mixed with lip gloss or nail polish, whatever your little pink heart desires! This limited edition color is available only while supplies last. Get her before she's all gone, never to return again!
head over to www.sugarpillshop.com if you're interested!
Let's be honest, as much as I love dramatic full face makeup and using all my brushes when possible, on the mornings I bother wearing makeup to work I just don't have the time or energy. I am seriously NOT a morning person LOL.
It arrived!!!! *does a happy dance* My new P&J blush is here and is so adorable!! Love the packaging so much! Such a shame I smeared half the gorgeous design in my over zealous attempts at swatching :(
- review of the Louise Young Eyeshadow Palette 1 available on beautybay.com for $59.80 - more after the jump
After my last post mentioning Black Friday deals (yeah, yeah I know it's January LOL) I found a mini review I did ages ago about Concrete Minerals Naughty & Nice collection that I got in a haul!
My only haul this past Black Friday was one I had actually waited all year for - Sugarpill's.
Flamepoint palette, Sweetheart palette, Frostbitten trio, Atomic trio and Paperdoll |
Anyways, I've been holding out on posting as I wanted to do a super-uber-duper review of all my goodies in one phototastic post, but you' d all be waiting til November '14 at this rate LOL.
So here is a teaser photo of my newly(ish) acquired stash with a blogfelt promise to have lavish individual product reviews up very soon!
After work yesterday I decided to finally trawl the stock take sale leftovers at Myer's in hopes of scooping up a beauty bargain.
HUZZAH!!!
My Rouge Bunny Rouge samples finally arrived today!!!! (btw screw you Australia Post for totally lying about the date on you "attempted" to drop off my parcel).
After an incredibly lovely conversation about which foundation would suit my skin tone in the Skin Sanctuary range with an RBR customer service rep, they recommended I should try some samples first prior to placing my order. I was concerned about ordering blind as I had already order Wheat Cream which was too dark for me - but luckily matches my summer fake tan (when I can be bothered LOL) so it wasn't a total waste. RBR also included the Milk Aquarelle range for me to try as I was interested in picking that up too!
RBR Sample Package including all shades from the Milk Aquarelle and Skin Sanctuary foundation lines and their new Genesis Primer |
So I will definitely be uploading a detailed post with all the swatches of both ranges and my review of them too - I'll also do a review of their new Genesis primer which was included in the package. Unfortunately I can't order any of their fragrances as they are not able to post them to Australia even though the included sample was lovely.
Today I wanted to do a quick post about NYX now being sold in Target Australia!! YAY!! I noticed the stand about a week ago in my local Target store and did a complete about-face-double-take and nearly fell over in my surprise LOL.
I first stumbled across the Succulence of Dew Sheer Lipsticks by RBR while browsing Shameless Fripperies blog. To be honest I was actually trawling Karima's gorgeous blog in search of RBR eye shadow swatches after reading all the hype splashed across the make up blogosphere in an attempt to justify my - let's be honest - impending spending guilt.
So after many weeks of research and constant um-ing and arr-ing, I decided to bite the bullet. Serendipitously, my long winded indecision meant that I was in time for the new RBR web boutique to be launched, saving me from purchasing my goodies from a third party site and paying a significant mark-up/extra in postage.
oh, yes, the lipsticks, that's what I'm reviewing lol.
